Royal Irish Academy of Music, Co. Dublin
Purcell Construction

O’Reilly Concrete were contracted by Purcell Construction to assist in the building redevelopment of the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Co. Dublin.

We provided our precast floors, walls, stairs and columns to this project. The build consists of a new 6-storey extension onto the existing building covering over 4,394sqm, which will open the RIAM up to a wide variety of new opportunities.

The RIAM has been a core part of Ireland’s culture since it was established in 1848. The iconic home of the RIAM will be re-imagined to include:

  • Double the number of teaching rooms
  • A 300 seat concert hall
  • 5 acoustically treated faculty zones
  • An opera studio
  • A sonic arts hub
  • A music therapy facility
  • A 60 seat tiered lecture hall
  • A library and research hub
  • Improved accessibility throughout the campus

When complete, the new RIAM building is expected to facilitate roughly 3,5000 students and will continue to provide the highest standards for pre-college, undergraduate, and postgraduate musical training.

O’Reilly Concrete are delighted to be assisting Purcell Construction in transforming the Royal Irish Academy of Music campus into an admirable and impactful student and visitor experience
