A collection of stunning images courtesy of David Holt London of Apex House, N15 Tottenham Haringey in London. Work began in November on the 23-storey mixed-use commercial and residential development along with 4 town houses.
The Grainger PLC development will consist of a total of 163 homes with 104-1,2, and 3 bed apartments as well as 59 rental homes accompanied with a gym, roof terraces and play area for children.
O’Reilly Concrete are thrilled to be supplying the Precast Columns and Precast Walls for the project. The main contractor for the job is Ant Yapı with Modebest providing the Engineering. Work is scheduled to be completed by Summer, 2020.

Some great progress pictures of our Lidl Ireland in Antrim which commenced on November 19th, 2018. O’Reilly Concrete supplied and fitted the Structural Frame in just 11 days as seen in the pictures below. The main Contractor for the development was FORRME with STS Group: Specialist Technical Services providing the Engineering. Part of the O’Reilly Group-Barleystone Paving also supplied the paving for the project with our Larchfield Damson and Birch.

O’Devaney Gardens-Arran Quay Dublin

Careys Building and Civil Engineering is currently building 56 new social housing properties at the O’Devaney Gardens redevelopment project in Dublin, Ireland. Originally conceived in 2008 as a project to regenerate a 1950’s flat complex, this redevelopment scheme was delayed for 10 years.

Once completed, the overall O’Devaney Gardens scheme will provide 585 new homes – 30% earmarked for social homes and 20% for affordable housing.

After a decade-long postponement, ground was finally broken last summer on this project. O’Reilly Concrete are delighted to be supplying and fitting the Precast Floors for the project. We look forward to bringing you some progress pictures in due course.

Some excellent progress pictures from St Mary’s Mansion on Sean McDermott Street in Dublin. The development consists of the renovation of flats/apartments for main contractor Ganson and Architect, Coady Architects.
3 of the 6 storey project was completed in just 5 days of our custom built stand alone lift and stair-core. The remaining 3 storeys are due for completion next week on site inclusive of landings and stairs which ensure complete access to each level on completion of the core.

O’Reilly Concrete are delighted to have secured a total of 4 schools, two in Citywest and Saggart in Dublin and the remaining two in Claregalway, County Galway. We are looking forward to working with the main contractor on the development, ABM Construction and Architects, Oppermann Associates.

O’Reilly Concrete are thrilled to be supplying and fitting Precast elements for the schools. In each of the two locations, ABM will construct a steel-frame school with the help of O’Reilly Concrete Precast Floors and Stairs. The remaining two schools in both locations will be made up of an entire Precast frame including floors, stairs, walls, columns and beams.

The first set of below pictures illustrate the projected images of the Citywest and Saggart schools whilst the second batch show a completed view of the respective schools in Claregalway. Production on the project started last week so we look forward to bringing progress pictures in the near future.

St Marys Mansions, Sean McDermott Street, Dublin 1

O’Reilly Concrete have been contracted by Ganson to design and fit the precast concrete element of this refurbishment and retrofit of existing social housing complex including the addition of two new floors of accommodation over the existing building, the total area of the completed development will be c.8550sq.m over 6 floors, providing a total of 80 number apartments with associated balconies.

The Precast Staircore 1 was completed in 10 working days, well done to our fitting crew – great work for a 3 man crew.

The building will comprise of 23 No. 1 bedroom apartments, 44 No. 2 bedroom apartments, 2 No. 3 bedroom apartments, 8 No. 3 bedroom duplex units and 3 No. 4 bedroom apartments.

Carman Hall Student Accommodation

Some brilliant progress pictures of 207-bed purpose-built student accommodation development on Carman Hall in Merchants Quay, Dublin.

The Crosslane Student Developments scheme comprises of three residential buildings of between three and six storeys, with 207 high-specification en-suite beds arranged in cluster apartments of between five to eight bedrooms. The development will also feature significant dedicated communal areas, including a common room, gym, study room, bicycle storage, a public coffee shop at ground level and a private outdoor landscaped courtyard.

The site is located at the junction of Carman Hall and Garden Lane, within Dublin’s main ring road, just to the west of the city centre and south of the River Liffey. The development is a short walk away from Trinity College Dublin and the Royal College of Surgeons’ campus in Ireland campus, with the University College Dublin and Dublin City University being easily accessible by public transport.

O’Reilly Concrete are currently supplying and fitting the precast frame for the project including the walls, floors, columns and beams for the main contractor, Stewart Construction. Credit must also go to the Consultant Engineers on the job, Duke McCaffrey Consulting.

Block 01 has since been finished whilst Block 02 has one level left to complete and Block 03 has 2 levels to complete. The scheduled date for completion is 4 weeks from now, Friday 15th March at which stage the full precast frame for the 3 blocks will be finished.

O’Reilly Concrete have been successful in securing many new precast construction projects in Ireland and have been contracted by MEIC to design and fit the precast frame of a new school project in Portlaoise. This new school comes under the Department of Education national Rapid Build Schools Programme 2017-2019.

The new construction of the St Francis Special School Community College and Community Facility, Portlaoise involves the construction of a new two-storey 12-classroom special needs school, including staff and pupil facilities and ancillary spaces, floor area 2912m3.

From Drawings to Reality…

A look at Woodbury Downs, Finchley Park Regeneration Residential Apartment Blocks in North London, from our initial design drawings to construction through to how they stand today.

O’Reilly concrete were contracted by Coinford to design, manufacture and fit all precast Columns for both blocks 1 & 2 of the complete regeneration of the apartments – one of the blocks being 25 Storeys high.

The buildings make a stunning backdrop to the Nature Reserve.
